Submersible Sensor Solution for Challenging Water Reservoirs
January 2022

Key Implementations:
Upon purchasing and testing these sensors in the intensely polluted reservoirs of Intibucá, Honduras, they performed flawlessly. Unlike previous models, these sensors came equipped ✔️ with factory-installed filters. However, to further enhance durability, I designed a 𝄜 custom filtration system using multiple layers of quartz stone🪨🪨 within 4" PVC pipes, as shown in the accompanying images.
Additionally, since these sensors operate on a 4-20mA signal, they provide highly accurate readings with a minimal error margin of only 3-4 cm, ensuring reliable water level tracking.
Project Description
I implemented a submersible sensor-based water level monitoring system after ultrasonic sensors proved ineffective due to rising water levels and sediment buildup 🕳️. Years earlier, submersible sensors had been tested but failed 👎due to inadequate filtration. Recognizing the critical importance of reservoir monitoring for the company,
I researched and identified a specialized submersible sensor model designed for wastewater and highly contaminated 🤢 environments.

If, as in the video on the left, there is overflow 🌊, it doesn't matter—the submersible sensor will always measure 📐
