How It Works

There was no ⛔direct communication method available for extracting energy data from an SMA 3kW solar inverter, which was connected to several solar panels, this particular model lacked such functionality.

I was tasked 🚩 with finding a solution to track the energy being generated.

To gather the necessary data, I installed AC energy meters (PZEM-004T) on each of the phases connected to the inverter. By summing the data from each meter, I was able to calculate the total energy delivered by the inverter. This energy data was then sent as a </> POST request to our local API for further processing.
